Plague Year : March 1940-February 1941, Being the Diary of Anthony Weymouth

£14.99

Product description

Published in 1942 by George G Harrap & Co, this is the second volume of the author's diaries. He started the first one the day was declared and it was published as 'A Psychologist's War-Time Diary'. Includes index.

Anthony Weymouth was a well known figure both as a regular on the BBC and as a newspaper columnist. This is a fascinating account of day to day life in London written in the midst of the blitz and published whilst the outcome of the war was very much in doubt.

This is clearly a well read book. It still has the original unclipped dust jacket which is pretty worn and torn with fading on the spine. The book itself has shelf-wear and bumping to its corners on the orange board covers. However the internal pages are in a good clean condition and the binding is tight and sound.
