This book is in fair condition. The binding is a red cloth which has been faded by time and sun damage. The spine is more sun damaged than the cover, and it has an original paper sticker with details of the book on it. On the front pastedown there's a university library stamp and on the title page there is an ink stamp, both from the Universty College of Wales. On the front endpaper is a name of a previous owner in ink. Internally there is minimal foxing, although some of the pages are worn slightly.

This book, Poetical Works of Geoffrey Chaucer (Volume VII), is a part of a series by Robert Bell called The Annotated Edition of the English Poets. It includes an introduction by Robert Bell about the poem "The Romaunt of the Rose" by Chaucer.
