Published 1839. Engravings of noble children from drawings by Alfred E. Chalon and Edwin Landseer. Each portrait is accompanied by a poem by a notable person, such as Disraeli.

Externally the book is very grubby and marked The boards and their gilt decoration are faded and there are substantial splits to the spine covering. The binding is weak. Two pages are loose and there most pages are somewhat discoloured. Water stain on rear endpapers and paste-down. The portraits themselves all have a protective tissue covering and are in good condition. Elaborate dedication dated 1839 on front free end-paper.
