Rockingham Castle Its Antiquity and History Drawn from the National Records

£12.99

Product description

1852 Printed for Private Distribution. The inside printed inscription reads 'To the Honourable Richard and Lavinia Watson in grateful recollection of much and long repeated kindness received at Rockingham Castle by Charles Henry Hartshorne'. It seems the author was a frequent guest at the castle and researched and wrote this little volume for his hosts.
Red leather covers from which sadly the front cover has become detached. Gilt lettering to the spine. Gilt tooling to the inside edge of both covers. The front cover is also marked. Front and back free endpapers are speckled, but the rest of the text is clean. There are a few attractive etchings. Title page has a neat pen inscription.
The damage to the cover makes this a poor condition book, although aside from that the pages are in very good condition.

Oxfam Books & Music Olney

Welcome to Oxfam Books And Music Olney, situated just off the market square in Stanley Court opposite the Co-Op. Come and browse our extensive selection of books, music, DVDs, computer games and cards. In our shop you can discover a great range of material from the latest modern fiction to classic literature and vintage LPs. We are always happy to receive your donations of books or music, and you can choose to Gift Aid them to Oxfam. We might also be able to collect particularly large donations - just ask. We are always interested in hearing from people who wish to volunteer with us. Just pop in to collect an application form.

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
