This is a 1950 first edition, complete with dust jacket. This dust jacket is worn, with small tears and sellotape, but brightly illustrated and intact. Within, the pages are slightly discoloured but brightly printed, clean and intact, complete with the original illustrations.

When little Rubbalong the cobbler and his remarkable Ma come to settle down in Tiptop Village, everyone quickly finds out that it does not pay to offend them or do anything to harm the good people of the neighbourhood. For one thing, Ma knows some useful spells, and even without their aid Rubbalong's methods can be extremely effective. As a result, life becomes very difficult for unpleasant characters like Grabbit, and his sister, Mrs Well-I-Never.

Oxfam Books & Music Beeston

The Beeston books and music shop is situated near to Nottingham University, close to the city of Nottingham. There is a train station nearby. We offer a wider selection of books than most shops, from modern fiction and leisure interest to more specialist subjects, academic books, and rare or collectable items. There is a wide variety of music, including sheet music and a good selection of high quality classical, rock and pop vinyl. The volunteer team is a diverse mix from the local community, and University. We are currently recruiting for a quality control volunteer. We always welcome good quality, saleable donations which can be delivered to our rear entrance.
