Publisher: Blades East and Blades, London 1905. Hardback, no dustjacket. Text is in French. Illustrated with tissue guarded full page photographs by Sir Benjamin Stone M.P. Cover, in white vellum chamfered boards with gilt titling and decoration , is in decent condition commensurate with age with some shelfwear to edges and along spine and some tan spots on front and some grubby marks to back. some bumping to spine. Pages have all loosened from the binding (as originally not sewn in but glued in to cover, a binding technique often used for this type of publication at the time). However all pages and plates are present with tissue guards for each plate. A rare item with magnificent tissue guarded full page photographs printed on thick, high quality paper.
