Bumped corners, scuffing and wear along the spine, frayed edges and tanning of pages, binding is becoming loose, but pages are still held together. Dirt marks upon the pages and cover cloth, but with no hindrances to the text or illustrations.

Bound in blue cloth, embossed in gold gilt text and illustrations along the front and spine of cover. Fading of cloth over upon the spine, but text us still readable. previous owner has left a not within the first page, dating back to 1891.

Published in 1874.

With this text dating back into the later years of the 1800's, some pages are fragile, but this first edition still makes a great fictional read, and as a historical collectable due to the sheer age of the text. Amongst the pages, illustrations are found within, fictional pieces of art that detail the adventure.

Darlington is one of the largest Oxfam shops in the country. We sell a large and varied range of good quality mens, womens and childrenswear in a range of labels from High Street to Designer. We also have a range of beautiful Bridalwear and Retro clothing, and a huge choice of accessories to compliment any outfit and occasion. 

On the first floor we have a large books and music room with comfortable seating provided, so that you can take your time while browsing and pick the perfect item. We have a vast and ever changing selection of Homewares and Bric-a-Brac, from bargain items to antiques and everything in between. We stock Fairtrade food and drinks, gifts and cards all year round, and we have an amazing Christmas range, with gifts to suit all tastes and budgets. 

We also run an Online Shop from our Online Suite, sending high quality clothing, books and records all over the world. We have a Facebook page, full of information on what we do in store and how your support helps fight poverty all over the world. 

We have a large and varied team of volunteers, and we are always looking for new people to join our team. We have dozens of opportunities, including Customer Service, Stock Handling, Social Media, Online Sales, Book Sales, and many, many more.
