Publisher: Collins' Clear-Type Press, London, c 1925. Hardback, 314 pages, no dustjacket, colour frontispiece and two b&w plates by Rosa C Petherick. Cover, in blue cloth with black titling to spine and front, red and blue waving girl design to spine and red and blue portrait roundel of girl on front, is in decent condition commensurate with age, a little fading and some creasing and rubbing to spine, bumping to spine extremities and minor shelfwear marks. Internally the book is in decent, firm condition with no inscriptions, creases or significant marks. Some light foxing spots here and there and tanning to page block edges. Pages lightly tanned commensurate with age. Binding beginning to loosen at page 96 but has not significantly affected firmness. Overall a decent and firm 1920s copy of this classic children's school story with an attractively illustrated cover.
