Subtitled ' Giving a Short History of the English Factories, and showing how to apply tests for Unmarked China before 1800'. No dustjacket. Cover, in dark green boards with white titling to spine and white titling and an attractive design to front cover, is in decent condition commensurate with age, a little bumping to spine extremities and a little staining to top edge. Internally, book is in decent condition commensurate with age with firm binding and no inscriptions or creases. Some foxing to endpapers, title pages and last few pages but only a very few in the bulk of the book. Pages are rough cut as was common at the time. Tweo and a half inch clean tear on front free endpaper. Fascinating and detailed study of old English China and the principal manufacturers (Worcester, Chelsea, Derby, Bow, Plymouth, Bristol) accompanied by many black and white illustrations in the text.
