BOOK DESCRIPTION : circa 1939, presumed 1st Edition; Sheldon Press; grey/green cloth with decorative designs to covers; with dustjacket; 159 pages with colour frontispiece; in G/Fr Condition. Clarice is becoming too confident and impertinent by far. She has a taste for antics and is over familiar with her elders. Her parents are exasperated and think she needs a good dose of discipline, and so they elect to send her to the strictest girlschool's they can find. Will their hopes be realised, and will Clarice return a "reformed" character? BOOK CONDITION : Good : light shelfwear to edges of cloth covers; slight fading to cloth at head and foot of spine cloth; otherwise cloth in very good shape; titling and designs excellent and well preserved; first blank endpaper torn out; inside pages in very good order with only mild toning to whites; slight cracking of bind at page 129 but all secure and otherwise binding sound. DJ Condition : Fair : small pieces missing from lower part of spine and top right of spine, and back cover corners at top, and far lower right and left corners of front cover; edge creasing and a few small tears; slight rubbing but front cover image with vivid colours.
