The Bell of St Paul's

£16.99

Product description

The book has dark blue embossed cloth-covered boards and spine. The front cover shows the book title in gilt script within a gilt decorative enclosure. The spine has the book title and the author's and publisher's names also in gilt script. There are some signs of bumping to the corners and there is some shelf wear especially at the spine. The hinges are in reasonable condition although the front endpapers are splitting towards the bottom of the book. The pages are not well cut and have a deckled edge. They are discoloured especially at the top edges. Some pages are splitting apart at the spine. The front free endpaper has a pasted down prize-giving certificate awarded by the General Post Office. Both front and rear free endpapers are showing signs of foxing. After the novel pages the book has a 32 page catalogue listing the publisher's other books for sale.
