The Birds of the Channel Islands [1952, Signed by the Author]

£17.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Published in 1952 by Staples Press. Illustrated with black & white photographs.

The author's preface states: ' In all, some 250 different species of birds have been recorded from the Channel Islands at one time or another. My object in writing this book has been to bring together in one volume the scattered records of a century, and, by incorporating with them my own observations, to make it possible to determine at a glance the status of any birds on any one of the islets compromising the Channel Islands'.

A very thorough and detailed record of the birds observed on the Channel Islands.

A bonus with this copy is a signed message from the author, Roderick Dobson, to a fellow ornithologist, Colin Carey.

In generally pretty good condition, some light rubbing wear to the spine and some light yellowing to the pages.
