The Body of Christ: an Enquiry into the Institution and Doctrine of Holy Communion

Charles Gore (1853 - 1932) was a British theologian and the Bishop of Worcester, Birmingham, and Oxford.

Condition:
Parts of the leather corners and spine have been worn or scratched off, especially along the edges. Light yellow marks on the front and back buckram boards. Light corner bumps and signs of shelf wear. Moderate foxing on the first and last few pages. Pages in the body of the book also have some foxing ranging from moderate foxing around the edges to no foxing. Most pages have extremely light foxing, if at all. Sticker on the inside front board shows this book was given as an award to a student. A small and discrete sticker on the inside back cover shows the identity of the binder. Pages retain a good colour, binding is secure. Front cover has the Llandaff Diocesan coat of arms gilded on the cover, and has not been worn away. Gilding on the spine is also in good condition.
