The Boys' Book of Railways

£9.99

Product description

With over 100 illustrations from photographs, this book from 1909 has many interesting descriptions such as the construction of the Pullman truck.

Used, good. The binding feels slightly loose with a gap at page 33 and also at page 97 and a loose plate at page 158/159. There is occasional underlining in pencil and pencil scribbles. Part of the binding is exposed at the inner cover. The blue hardback cover has some signs of wear and the corners, edges and spine are a little frayed. There is an inscription on the inner flyleaf which is somewhat brown with age. There is a sticker on the bottom of the inner cover. Some of the pages have brown marks such as pages 42-43. Some words have been crossed out on page 233 and there is also a line through this page. There are some letters and scribbles on the back inner cover and the last index page.
