Product description

This hard cover book comes complete with its dust jacket. The DJ has some small tears on the front plus a grubby mark, the rear is in a similar state and there is damage to the top and bottom of the spine plus it is price clipped. The orange cloth board cover is in good condition with black blocking. The first blank page has an award sticker on it. The page ends are foxed but all text and illustrations are very clear and legible. The Illustrations are by Stuart Tresilian.

The author began writing while working as a schoolmaster in Devon and Surrey; his experience added an element of authenticity to his tales. A popular serial writer for Captain, Chums, and Boy's Own Paper from 1909, his enterprising schoolboy characters included Foozle (The Feats of Foozle, 1913;
