The Complete Poetical Works of Longfellow (Including the Copyright Poems) Vol. V

£14.99

Product description

The Oxford Miniature Longfellow. Inscription to the front end papers dated 1919. Front cover is frail and torn almost completely from the spine, but condition is good for its age. Some shelf wear, corners bumped, all edges worn. No decoration to speak of but gilt lining around the edges of the boards; black leather boards; where the leather has been slightly worn, we can see it has aged turquoise - this is noticeable where the leather has been scratched too. All edges gilt. Gilt title to the front cover and spine. Spine is tight; good clean pages; end papers display only the very faintest traces of foxing. A few of the pages have browned slightly at the edges, and some of the first and last few pages have torn corners; otherwise as said before very good clean pages.

This volume comprises The Divine Tragedy, The Abbot Joachim, The Masque of Pandora, Morituri Salutamus, A Book of Sonnets, Keramos, as well as translations from various authors, including but not limited to, Dante (Cantos from Dante's Paradiso), the Beowulf Poet's Expedition to Heort from the Anglo-Saxon, Frithiof, Rondel, Virgil and Ovid.
