The Conduct of the Understanding John Locke, and Bacon (Francis): Essays, Moral, Economical, & Political

£14.99

Product description

An unassuming little volume in black cloth covered boards with a small paper label on the spine. There are two short biographical accounts before the essays. Frontispiece protected by tissue. Title page has etching of lady in window "nor a fond Mother drooping under the life of a child".

Scott and Webster (successors to Mr Dove). Undated. Hardback with no DJ. The binding of both front and rear hinge is sprung but remains just about functional. There is foxing of the end pages and a little scattered throughout the text. A couple of linear pencil marks in margins.

Far from perfect but still an interesting and attractive little volume.
