This is complete set of 6 volumes, published by Novello and Company. Each volume contains a number of dances with clear illustrations of the steps and some examples of music, described by Cecil J Sharp, George Butterworth and Maud Karpeles. In all more than 170 dances are described. Most are from The English Dancing Master published between 1650 and 1728. Although uniform in appearance (other than some changes in the colour of the bindings) this contains a variety of different editions published from 1909.

Part 2 - Containing Thirty Country Dances from the English Dancing Master (1650-1728). Third Edition 1927.
Part 3 - Containing Thirty-Five Country Dances from the English Dancing Master (1650-1728). Second Edition 1927.
Part 4 - Containing The Running Set, Collected in Kentucky, USA. 1918 US Edition.
Part 5 - Containing Forty-Three Country Dances from the English Dancing Master (1650-1728). 1916 Edition.
Part 6 - Containing Fifty-Two Country Dances from the English Dancing Master (1650-1728). Second Edition 1927.

The paper covers have some some wear and tears on the edges. There are occasional pencil marks on the text. The bindings are sound and the contents are in pretty good condition overall.

An absolute must for anyone interested in the traditions of country dancing.
