Publisher: John Murray, London, 1850, 3rd edition. Hardback, 554 pages, no dustjacket as issued. Cover, in black leather with gilt lining and decoration and gilt titling over brown paste-down on spine, is in good condition commensurate with age with some rubbing to edges and along spine edges and bumping to corners and spine extremities and a few very light shelfwear related markings to boards. Internally the book is good condition commensurate with age with tight binding and lightly tanned but clean, clear pages. Lovely coloured endpapers are still bright. Some foxing spots to first few and last few pages. Neat pen inscription on flyleaf, otherwise no significant marks. Overall a very sound copy.
