Title page has tears across leading edge. & pp98. Age toned & foxed in parts . Full of charming copper plate illustration's.

Book is split into seven parts each part making a statement on the human condition.
Title page states, 'Translated from an Indian manuscript' & written by an ancient Bramin. There's an explanation at front of book explaining its origins from a letter from a gentleman residing in China; concerning an ancient manuscript found in the Grand Lama's temple in Tibet. Letter sent to an unnamed Earl.
