The Emperor's Candlesticks (1st edition)

£50.00

Product description

Published in 1899 by C. Arthur Pearson Ltd. No wrapper. Light brown boards in poor condition. Grubby with some staining. Wear to the edges. The spine and front board are hanging on by a thread to the rest of the book. Inside, the front free end-peper has been an erstwhile meal for a worm. A previous owner has tried to make a repair using 3 strips of Sellotape. That siad, the actual text block is clean, although the binding is a little slack.

Oxfam Shop Penzance

Whist we stock a range of clothes and homewares, our speciality lies in our books and music departments. Over the course of the last few years, we have developed our reputation as a second-hand book seller. As a result, we get some lovely books donated to us which we sell in our high street shop and online. We are also developing a reputation for good vinyl, it always sells well.
