The story of how the Horn Blower saga came to be - with 30 maps illuminating all of the major naval exploits of this legendary figure. This is a first edition copyright 1964 with the original blue, red and yellow printed dust jacket. There is a dedication inside the book which reads - To John With Best Wishes for Christmas 1964. There is a poem dedicated to Lord Cochrane 1799 on the front inside cover and this has been written by a calligrapher as has the dedication. maps and decorations by Samuel H.Bryant

Condition: Dust Jacket shows signs of wear including a small tear to the front lower edge together with wear to the upper edge otherwise intact and not clipped. The red cloth covered boards are good plus with usual signs of shelfwear and corner bumps. Interior is crisp and clean with a tight binding.
