This edition of the poem was published by Burns and Oates two years after the author's death in 1909. This is slim booklet of about 20 pages, as well as the Poem 'The Hound of Heaven' it includes a short biography of Francis Thompson and some notes about his works at the back.

"The Hound of Heaven" is a 182-line poem written by English poet Francis Thompson (1859–1907). The poem became famous and was the source of much of Thompson's posthumous reputation. The poem was first published in Thompson's first volume of poems in 1893

The booklet is paper bound and is complete with its original paper wrapper. There is some discolouration and marks on the cover with a red stain on the rear of the wrapper and some foxing, however but the contents are still clear and easy to read.
