The Legacy Of Asia And Western Man

£29.99

Product description

First edition and impression of this 1937 survey of the impact of Eastern thought on the Western mind. Yellow cloth boards with red titling to front and spine. Boards are quite faded and the front board has three small black marks (see picture). Rear board also shows general discolouration. All other wear is commensurate with age such as slight foxing to endpapers, slight darkening of page edges and minor shelfwear. The text is clean, bearing no marks or annotations. The binding remains secure and the hinges intact. This is overall an excellent copy of a fascinating book. (Beware of listings claiming that the 1938 Uni. Chicago is the 1st Ed. That is the first US ed., thus not a true 1st. This is the 1937 ed. and therefore a genuine 1st ed.)
