The Letters of Beethoven -Collected, translated and edited by Emily Anderson. This is a set of Three Volumes housed in a cardboard outer sleeve. All three volumes are in excellent condition. The dust jacket of the first volume shows more signs of wear with a small tear in the spine and some creases and nicks to the top. The jackets of the other volumes are in excellent condition. The cardboard sleeve is coming apart on one side and shows greater wear, see accompanying product photographs for more details.
This edition, which includes all the known letters of Beethoven and some documents of relevant interest, covers a period of forty years, from 1787, when Beethoven was seventeen to 1827, the year of his death. It is a valuable source book for a complete study of the composer's life.
