Brown cloth binding with blind-stamped border and decoration and gilt lettering to front cover, blind-stamped border, decoration and lettering to rear cover and gilt lettering and decoration to spine; all page edges gilt.

Good condition for a book of this considerable age: light bumping to cover corners and spine ends, light slanting/twisting to spine; title page and tissue guard starting to detach, a number of other pages already detached and further pages could become detached due to brittle binding; inscription to front pastedown endpaper, light foxing to reverse of free endpapers, title and preliminary pages, frontispiece and pages 205 to 207, lesser foxing/soiling elsewhere internally, otherwise generally clean internally with clear text and illustrations throughout.

Here at the B.D.C. we source goods for stores in the Dorset, Wiltshire and Avon area, by house collections and clearances, corporate and personal donations as well as emptying numerous textile and book banks in the area. We have been awarded the "Best National Oxfam On-Line Store" for 2009/10.
