The Lost Towns of the Yorkshire Coast, 1st ed.

£9.99

Product description

From his preface to 'The Lost Towns of the Humber' it is apparent that the intention of the late J. R. Boyle was to publish a companion volume on the 'Lost Towns and Churches of the Yorkshire Coast.' Upon many occasions the author urged Mr. Boyle to complete the work, but as circumstances prevented this, the author ventured to do it themselves.

Hard back book. No dust jacket. The book is bound in dark green with gold lettering on the spine and gold illustration and lettering on the front cover. The spine is mostly detached along the rear edge and shows signs of rubbing and scuffing along the edges and at the corners. The number 627 appears in white on the spine and inside the front cover in pencil, along with B. C. No 1. There is also a name label for John Dossor inside the front cover, and on the opposite page the name John Dossor and the number 82a are written in ink. There are some further pencil numbers on the next page.

Apart from these inclusions the pages are in good condition with no signs of damage or marks.
