The Manufacture of Paint

£19.99

Product description

Blue cloth covered book with titles on front cover and spine in gilt. The cover has what appears to be smallish damp marks on both the front and the back, and the spine is sunned. All four corners are lightly bumped. A surprisingly heavy book as it is not very thick. Internally there is some slight discolouration due to age but generally the book is clean, bright and tightly bound. It contains 60 illustrations and one large diagram. It was published in London in 1901 by Scott, Greenwood and Son at "The Oil and Colour Trades Journal" offices. The author is J Cruickshank Smith, Member of the Society of Arts and Member of the Society of Chemical Industry. It has the subtitle of "A Practical Handbook for Paint Manufacturers, Merchants and Painters". At the back of the book there is an extensive list of other publications.
