The craft of deep drawing and pressing of sheet metal is old in relation to the industrial age yet only in the later years prior to the publication of this book had scientific knowledge begun to be directed deliberately towards its development. This book was aimed to assist in the advancement of the craft by indicating how scientific knowledge could be usefully applied to develop the technology.

Good+ condition. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Bumping to head and tail of spine and some rubbing to extremities. Sunning to spine and partial sunning to front and rear. Endpapers and page edges a little grubby but pages clean and undamaged with no highlighting or underlining. Name stamped on half-title page, upper page edges and rear ffep (see photo).

We are a specialist shop nestled in the heart of Jesmond, a lovely residential area of Newcastle Upon Tyne. We opened in July 2010 and have on offer 5,000 books, 2,000 records, CDs and games as well as sheet music, cards and stationery within the shop. We are gaining a very good reputation in the Rare and Collectable books and vinyl community, but also do a roaring trade in contemporary fiction and modern non-fiction. We also organise live music and book events and aim to be a hub of culture in this wonderfully tight-knit community.
