Five issues of this early nineteenth century military magazine (plus the September Supplement) in contemporary binding, each containing a Military Biography, detailed accounts of military campaigns (mainly in the Spanish Peninsula, Russia and the Americas), Gazette notices, poems and correspondence.

Half tan leather, marbled boards. Edgeworn and scuffed, spine split along front edge, gilt titles still bright. Text block edges marbled. Front inner hinge split and first title/contents page missing, mark of bookplate to front pastedown. Scattered foxing (foldouts more affected), a few small marks but text overall clean and binding secure. Pp 493-694, 1-408 (Dec title/contents page also missing); 6 foldout maps/plans, no plates (no sign of removal so ?never bound in). Biography subjects include General Sir Thomas Musgrave, Lieutenant-General Sir Thomas Graham, Major-General Henry MacKinnon. Foldouts include Formation and Deployment plan, Plan de la Bataille de Lutzen, and facsimile of General Moreau's last letter to his wife.
