Product description

This book was published in 1849 by G. E. Eyre and W. Spottiswoode. This book is without a dust jacket. The boards are an embossed leather with various patterns/ boarders. There are the words "New Test" in gold on the spine. The boards show some wear from use. The top and bottom of the spine have been worn down with approximately 5mm of the leather missing at the top and 15mm missing on one side at the bottom. The corners of the boards have been bumped. The edges of the pages have been guilt, the gilding shows some wear from use, despite this the gilding is still bright. The pages are clean with readable columns of text. There is an inscription from a previous owner just inside the front board. The hinge is strong. The first page (page 1 to 2) has started to come away from the book.
