Illustration and detailed description of the 22 pieces preserved in the Jewel House at the Tower of London in 1908, exclusive of the eight maces for serjeants-at-arms, fifteen trumpets,and twelve salt spoons, and the five silver-gilt communion vessels of the Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula within the Tower.
Good+ condition. Red pebbled boards with red cloth quarter binding and gilt lettering to spine. Surface of boards slightly grubby and spine slightly sunned. Some minor bumping to extremities and edge wear. Red pebbled covering has become unstuck for a short length on rear board (see photo). Upper page edges gilt. Pages clean but lightly tanned with minor foxing on some. Protective tissues present on about half of plates.
