The Pardoner and The Friar etc.

£10.99

Product description

Published in 1906 by Gibbings & Co. (for the Early English Drama Society). Green cloth bound hard covers with blind stamped title and design to the front and gilt lettering to the spine. Light shelf wear for the age of the book with a few light scuffs to the boards. Paste seepage to the front and rear end pages. All other pages are lightly sunned and tightly bound. The closed page edges show a little foxing, this has transferred to some margins as the pages are unevenly cut. Occasional cracking to expose the webbing, particularly the "join" of the front and rear boards to the spine. Some dog ear losses to the front and rear end pages due to aging of the paper. Remains of a number inked in to the front end page. No dust jacket. Some pages remain uncut. (Fully titled: The Pardoner and the Friar, The Curate and Neighbour Pratt (c1533) - also includes The Four P. P. (c1540).)
