Published by Collins Clear-Type Press circa 1908. Illustrated with colour drawings by J Schonberg. Decorative blue boards with gilt lettering.

The novel is set at Lake Ontario on the Canadian/US border and continues the adventures of former seaman, Natty Bumppo.

A prize plate is attached to the front free end-paper, awarded to James Rogers, a pupil at the Blue Coat National School, Walsall, dated July 1908.

In good condition. A page has been repaired with tape, but the text is still visible underneath. General rubbing wear to the extremities of the covers and there are some marks on the back cover. Pages are a little yellowed.
