Brown and green boards with gilt-edged marbled design to front and back and gilt titling and decoration to spine. There is general wear and scuffing to edges and corners of front and back boards. Raised edges of decoration to spine are scuffed and faded in patches. Inner board and end papers are patterned in dark red and blue and are in good condition. There is a small bookplate affixed to inner front board and a pencilled inscription to front and page. There is foxing to pages which is most evident in the very front and very back of the book. Page edges are trimmed in gilt.
