Publisher: Hodder & Stoughton, London, 1915. Hardback good with rare dustjacket, 160 pages. This book was published 'in aid of Queen Mary's Convalescent Auxilliary Hospitals, for Soldiers and Sailors who have lost their limbs in the War'. Profusely illustrated with wonderful colour plates and numerous black and white decorations. Cover, in pale blue cloth boards with blue titling and design to front and spine, is in good condition for its age with just a little creasing to spine and sligh discolouration to edges. Book is in good condition with firm binding and no tears or inscriptions. Clean and bright pages throughout with just some light foxing spots here and there. Wonderful tipped-in colour plates (by notable artists of the day) are all present and in very good condition. Number of black and white illustrations/decorations throughout. Dustjacket is in fair condition with some shelf wear top and bottom, some tears at top and bottom but very little actual loss, some fading/browning to spine and extremities. Rare to find this title with a decent (or any) dustjacket. A lovely book with wonderful illustrations.
