The Raven (1885)

£175.00

Product description

"The Raven" is a narrative poem by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. First published in January 1845, the poem is often noted for its musicality, stylised language, and supernatural atmosphere. It tells of a talking raven's mysterious visit to a distraught lover, tracing the man's slow fall into madness. This cope has literary and historical commentary from John H. Ingram and includes translations, parodies and history of the poem.

A hardback book in very good condition for its age. The pages of the book are rough cut and have yellowed slightly with age. There is some shelf wear to the spine. Despite this, the pages are clean and the binding is still relatively tight, with no loose pages. Overall, the book is in wonderful condition considering its age and there is no wear past what you would expect for a book of this nature. A wonderful book for any Edgar Allen Poe fans!
