The Reference Shakspere

£29.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

With the sub-title 'A memorial edition of Shakspere's plays' this book was published in 1864. The book contains all of Shakespeare's plays but it has an intriguing reference system. An index contains 372 subjects (such as Ambition, Desire, Poison, Temptation) and by following numbered references in the margins of the plays every reference to the particular subject can be found.
The half leather covers and spine are in good condition with a few scuff marks and some rubbing of the top and bottom of the spine. The binding is sound and the pages, with marbled edges, although yellowed with age are clean and unmarked. There is a name written at the top of the front end paper.
