"The Pedagogical Poem" (better known in the West under its English title, "Road to Life") is based on the true stories of the pupils from the author's orphanage for street children. His methods then and now were considered controversial. Made into the film "The Road to Life" entered into the Cannes Film Festival in 1956. Illustrated with b/w photographs.
Hardback, brown cloth, gilt blocked on spine and blind stamped on front and spine.
Condition Good. No jacket. One volume covered with plastic film, and has adhesive tape marks on front endpaper. Owner's name written in ink on flyleaf of each volume, otherwise text unmarked.
