Volume 2 of the large format history of England, published in 1876 by J.G. Murdoch. Starts at Chapter LXXVI with the period 1649 - 1653. Ends 1875 with the visit to India by the Prince of Wales. Faded and grubby brown leather cover, embossed with figures of a soldier and a sailor, flanking the title. Contains many engravings of political characters (George Washington, Benjamin Disraeli etc) and historical scenes. Some foxing and occasional marks and smudges to inside pages but generally reasonably clean. Binding is secure.
