Sub title "Including an account of the Rise and Decline of the Ottoman Power and the Eastern Question"
This was a five volume set edited by Captain H M Hozier and published by William MacKenzie. We are offering three contiguous volumes.
All are hardbacked with no DJ. There is a complex embossed design on the front cover with some gilt lettering, gilt lettering to spine and a non-coloured embossed pattern on the rear cover. The covers are bevelled. All edges are in gilt. Wear is very slight. There is a little scattered foxing. No Date is given.
Vol II commences in mid sentence on p 193 and finishes on p384. It has a frontispiece of Grand Duke Nicholas, followed by two further portraits, two landscapes and a double page coloured map of Turkey in Asia. The pictures have transparency covers.
Vol III commences on 385 and finishes on p 576. Its frontispiece is of Hobart Pasha. There follow two further portraits, then two battle scenes and, finally, a monochrome map of Bulgaria. Again the picture have transparent protection.
Vol IV commences at p 577 and finishes on p768. The frontispiece is of Osman Pasha, there is one further portrait, two scenes and three monochrome maps.
We are offering the trio at £75.00 but are willing to split at £30 per volume.
