The Siamese Cat (signed)

£35.00

Product description

The Siamese Cat is a splendid 1934 1st edition written by Phyl Wade and published by Methuen & Co. Ltd. The book is a comprehensive guide to siamese cats and includes such information as how to feed them, breed them and nurse them. The book also features a series of black and white photographs throughout than compliment the text perfectly.

This particular copy was given to Major Woodwiss, chairman of the Siamese Cat, by the author and contains a personalised note to him on the front free endpaper as well as an ex-libris sticker from a Beatrice Louie Jukes.

The book can be described as good condition considering its age. Its beige cloth hardboards are rather discoloured and dirty with corners bumped and spine scuffed. Internally, binding is tight and pages clean. However, there is heavy foxing throughout.

A unique and hard-to-find book, The Siamese Cat is a must-have for all collectors.
