This is the text originally published in 1725 and is here presented by J O Halliwell with an introduction, additional notes and a glossary. Sir Maundevile was as St Albans physician who succumbed to wander lust in 1322 and travelled extensively in the middle and far east for some 34. On his return he committed his record to a manuscript which was popular.

Reeves and Turner hardback with no DJ. Maroon cloth covered boards with embossed pattern to front and back and gilt lettering to spine.There is a litle wear if tge top and bottom of the spine cover, which is somewhat bleached. The front hinge internally is almost totally separated, Book plate on reverse of front cover. Moderate generalised tanning. There are a large number of line illustrations in antique idiom,.

A nice book but needing some attention to that front hinge.
