The story of Tristan is told from various fragments of manuscript of the 12th century, some in prose and some in verse. There is an introduction by George Saintsbury which reviews the story and the writings and a note by the translator about Thomas, the originator, his language, and the translation.

This hard cover book has some staining on the cover and end pages, with signs of wear to the corners and spine. There is a pencil-written name and address on the front facing end page. All interior pages are clear and legible.
