A rare copy of this 1949 first edition book from the 'A Little Golden Book' series. This is no.22 in the series. Beautifully illustrated on every page by Campbell Grant. This book predates the 1951 edition which came with an accompanying jigsaw puzzle. Internally there are no marks or stains with only the incorporated bookplate having the name Paul written on the pastedown in ink. The pictorial boards are in good condition although do show signs of age and wear with a few minor marks (see pictures for more detail). The spine has a 2.5cm chunk missing from the top and a 6cm piece absent from the bottom. The middle half of the spine remains intact and attached but is somewhat loose in places. Additional postage costs may apply.
