A complete set of seven volumes of war speeches by Winston Churchill, six of the volumes contain public speeches from 1938 to 1945 and the seventh volume contains Secret Session Speeches delivered to the House of Commons only. All volumes have blue cloth hard covers with gilt titles on the spines. All pages edges are foxed, and the endpapers have some light foxing. The text blocks are clean and unmarked. Four of the volumes have private 'ex libris' plates either on the front pastedown or first free endpaper; all volumes have a small previous owner name; one volume has a gift inscription which has been neatly crossed out. The seven volumes are: Into Battle published February 1941, this is the third edition February 1941; The Unrelenting Struggle published June 1942, this is the third edition December 1943; The End of the Beginning published July 1943, this is the second edition December 1943; Onwards to Victory published June 1944, this is the second edition June 1945; The Dawn of Liberation first edition 1945; Victory first edition 1946; Secret Session Speeches first edition 1946.

Oxfam Bookshop Lymington

Lymington is on the South coast, bordering on the New Forest National Park which was created as a Royal Forest in 1079 by William the Conqueror, and first recorded as 'Nova Foresta' in the Doomsday Book in 1086. Our Oxfam Shop at 73, The High Street is in a lovely Georgian building, the tallest in Lymington. The elegant Georgian buildings lining the wide main street were built mostly for merchants in the local salt trade. The famous Saturday market brings the town to life with its variety of stalls. The area is renowned for outdoor pursuits, including camping, sailing, windsurfing, and surfing, as well as forest walks and horse riding.
