Publisher: Chatto & Windus, London, 1934. Hardback, 228 pages, many full page photographic illustrations. Good overall condition. No dustjacket. Cover, in faded red boards with white titling to spine, is in sound condition with just light shelfwear, some fading to spine and a few light marks. Book itself is in decent condition with clear text and illustrations and no inscriptions. Some foxing to page block edges and to endpapers and first few and last few pages. Some loosening of binding at rear endpaper and at pages 48 and 129 exposing binding webbing but overall binding is still reasonably firm. A fascinating book of its period with a number of astonishing full page close-up black and white photographs of Tigers, elephants, deer and various monkeys. A book of great appeal to both photographers and wild-life enthusiasts.
