A pocket sized book published in 1888, elaborated from a prize essay written for the Bradford Geographical Exhibition 1887
Of historical interest for its description of the county, its landscape and cities, towns and villages 130 years ago, the book also includes three folding maps drawn by F D King and many illustrations of the places described, such as Aysgarth Force, Kirkstall Abbey, York Minster, Hull and Whitby Abbey.

Condition: This is very old (1888), therefore in a fair condition with yellowish pages. The hardback cover is in a sturdy condition given age. Altogether this is a great collectors item.
