This is number 48 from the Penguin King Books series, being the third revised edition from 1952.

The jacket has a brown background decorated with the letters of the alphabet A to M on the front and N to Z on the back, the book boards are similar. The jacket still has the price corner intact. There are some nicks to the jacket, mainly at the top of the spine and some general shelf-wear along the edges. There are no inscriptions. The hinges are in good order and the binding is generally tight. No foxing except the end-papers. A good neat, clean copy.
