Macmillan and Co., London, 1928. Hardback. Book Condition: Very Good. No Dust Jacket. First edition. Tan covers with gilt title and decoration to front and spine. Very slight bumping to spine ends. 56 Atmospheric London drawings by Joseph Pennell 'arranged with an introductory essay and notes by J.C. Squire'. Inscription to front free end paper reads 'To The Bishop subsequently to become The Cardinal, with Best Wishes for Christmas and The New Year. December 1935'. Research indicates that this may refer to Arthur Hinsley, appointed 1 April 1935, and elevated to cardinal on 13 December 1937. A card affixed to the inside front cover is from a Frank Hunt.
